Tracy Morgan Returns to Comedy by Hosting ‘SNL’

Just over a year ago, SNL and 30 Rock alum Tracy Morgan was in a auto wreck that left him critically injured and unable to speak or walk. SNL has plenty of good episodes (hell, last week’s Amy Schumer episode was really good), lots of hilarious hosts, and occasionally a few all-time great sketches, but this was the rarest of things: an exhilarating comedy ride where the jokes kept landing.

The evening was packed with entertaining sketches.

In the sketch, a NASA official (Cecily Strong) explains that a storm on the surface of Mars has caused one of their astronauts to go missing.

Then the monologue started.

Family Feud: This episode of Family Feud pits a recently remarried man (Tracy Morgan) against his ex-wife (Leslie Jones) and their children.

What else was memorable from this quarter-finale episode of Saturday Night Live?

Longtime fans of the comedian, however, probably found the highlight to be the return of Brian Fellow – who Morgan still seems to refer to as Brian Fellows, but that’s part of the fun. While he seemed a little shaky during his opening, he was back to his old self, decked out in full safari gear as he hammed it up with a beaver and a camel.

We are, of course, talking about 30 Rock.

Alec Baldwin as a time-demanding “future president” Jim Webb. David’s impersonation of Sanders is spot-on. And Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton hoping you’ll like the Clinton “my team and I created for this debate”.

During the opening monologue, however, he was able to do that and so much more.

Morgan is continuing to work on film projects and has been preparing a new comedy series for the FXX cable channel. Fey, however, is also saddened by the end of Playboy as her dreams of posing for them have now come to an end.

Demi Lovato was last night´s musical guest and sang a medley of her hits “Cool For the Summer” and “Confident”, as well as giving a lovely performance of “Stone Cold”.

The NTSB said he had been awake for 28 hours at the time of the crash. I’ll take a live single version of this for download now, please.

He continued, “I’m back”. Though your mileage may vary on “Yo!” The handlers played by Pete Davidson, and he almost cracks at one point when Morgan utters the characters most famous line.

It's an amazing return to form for the comic who was so badly injured he once wondered if he would ever be make people laugh again
