The recall which was initially for their frozen vegetables now includes their Trader Joe’s Vegetable Fried Rice and Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice. The Pasco, Washington, facility suspended operations and issued a recall for 358 products sold under 42 separate brands sold over the course of two years.
CRF’s first recall came on April 23nd for 11 frozen vegetable products.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with these products. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
The Watts Brothers and Trader Joe’s recalled products contain vegetables that are part of the CRF Frozen Foods recall. The products are sold in stores including Safeway, Costco, Kroger and Trader Joe’s; brand names include O Organic, Pantry Essentials, Safeway Kitchens, SIgnature Kitchens, Trader Joe’s, Organic by Nature and Wild Oats.
“That’s what we do when we get a recall”, Watson said. All products were removed from store shells.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. “Some of these illnesses have been linked to consuming CRF-manufactured or processed products”.

Grocery Manager Paul O’Quinn said the recall would not affect any products at Stewart’s Food Store in Brazoria.
