Trailer Released for ‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Premiering This Fall on Netflix
As if the highly anticipated announcement wasn’t enough, Netflix also gifted us with a teaser of our favorite girls to get us even more excited for the revival! In a new interview, Ms. Sherman-Palladino talks about sticking to that plan and about Melissa McCarthy’s much talked about return in the Gilmore Girls revival.

Netflix has just announced the release date of the “Gilmore Girls” revival, and fans would be happy to know that they need not wait too long to see Lorelai and Rory Gilmore back on the small screen again.
Among the other premieres announced on Wednesday are eight-episode anthology Easy (September 22), starring Orlando Bloom, Marc Maron and Dave Franco, season two of Ashton Kutcher’s The Ranch (October 7) and Beatles-inspired animated series Beat Bugs (November 18).
If you’ve been mourning the sharp and sassy mother-daughter relationship of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore ever since “Gilmore Girls” was canceled in 2007, it’s time to call your mom and load up on coffee and junk food. Each of the four 90-minute chapters covers each of four seasons of the year. Lorelai asks, to which Rory replies, “No”.
Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino did not rule out the possibility of more episodes to come, but said for the moment, “this is what it is”.
The scene in the trailer is certainly a signature of all things Gilmore, mostly because it features a Lorelai – Rory conversation that certainly feels appropriate for them: Amy Schumer followed by John Oliver. What steps on it?’ and luckily nothing we were thinking of doing they had dealt with in the [seventh season] – like one thing was the only thing I wish …

Sherman-Palladino wasn’t involved in the creation of last season because of a contract dispute, but now she gets the chance to end the show the way she’s always envisioned it. That’s simply the power of the Gilmore girls. She ADORES being a “Newsy” for Brit + Co, covering all of the latest tidbits of awesomeness that you want to read about.
