In a skit for amusing or Die, LeBron lays out his vision for a sequel and notes killing Bill Hader happens in the first scene and Judd Apatow will be replaced as director. But, much like those films, “Trainwreck” feels overlong.
So the movie is still amusing, but not quite as unique as it was at the start.
Apatow is renowned for finding and championing new talent – Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd and James Franco will testify to this – and it looks like he’s going to continue this winning streak with the stars of Trainwreck. Although it’s tremendously amusing, I think it truly deals with the struggle people have forming long-term relationships.
“I thought she’s an awesome storyteller and a good writer”, Apatow told Variety. “I was having such a great time working with Amy, and I felt like we were in sync”.
The New york Daily News wrote, “Like previous Apatow productions, this is a movie all about a lovable slob who learns to grow up with the help of a cast of colorful characters”. The initial description was they just wanted a physically large human being, but there were certain aspects of the script that gave a little more depth to that physically large human being. “There was just a lot of freedom to kind of try stuff out”.
You ad libbed a lot of your material.
Some of the best performances actually come from the non-thespians.

The whole GQ interview comes out on Monday, and since I’m sure it’ll be a barrel of laughs and perfection, and I suggest you keep your eyes peeled and let the force be with you and all that jazz. It’s what Apatow called “the Bruno Kirby role”, alluding to roles like the one Kirby played in movies like “When Harry Met Sally”. That could just solve all my problems right there. “He said yes, and I couldn’t believe it”. Amy is all of us, famous, glamourous, and saying all of the things we really want to say.

Now and forever, I am disappointed that there was never a Stormtrooper scene like this is any of the movies. The sky’s the limit I hope.
