TRANSFER LATEST – David Luiz returning to Chelsea
The Brazil global put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the west London side on Wednesday night as Chelsea completed a reported £32m deadline-day swoop to bring Luiz back to Stamford Bridge from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Oscar was team-mates with the Brazilian defender for two seasons at Stamford Bridge before Luiz moved to the French champions in June 2014, while the pair are also global colleagues.
The reports linking the 29-year-old defender with a move back to Chelsea started yesterday, as Antonio Conte had to act and make the most out of the final moments of this summer’s transfer window.
PSG had previously turned down approaches from Chelsea for both Luiz and his Brazilian team-mate Marquinhos, telling them that neither defender was for sale. The central defender returned to Stamford Bridge, two years after joining the Ligue 1 champions in 2014.
Luiz arrived from Paris on transfer deadline day to sign a three-year contract after completing a medical examination and agreeing to personal terms.
David Luiz has said he is not content with his past achievements at Chelsea and is “hungry” to be successful in English football again as he embarks on a second spell at Stamford Bridge. After missing out on a number of their targets, on the penultimate day of the summer transfer window Chelsea sealed a deal for Marcos Alonso and David Luiz.
The Brazil worldwide was immensely successful in his first three-year spell with Chelsea, collecting winners’ medals in the FA Cup, Europa League and Champions League.
The 28-year-old winger spent last season on loan with the Turin side.
Chelsea were keen to bolster their options at centre-back, with Kurt Zouma’s ongoing recovery from injury leaving John Terry and Gary Cahill as Antonio Conte’s only fit, experienced options.
Alonso is no stranger to the Premier League having played for Bolton for three seasons.

Courtois added: “I believe that he has had two good seasons at Chelsea”. I need to win again.
