Paramount has dated its next three Transformers sequels, and they will come in quick succession beginning in 2017.

The next three movies in the Transformers franchise have been given release dates and we’ll be seeing them all a lot sooner than you probably expected! That means Transformers 5 will be going up against Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman, and Transformers 6 will be going head-to-head with Godzilla 2.

The next installment, which was previously announced, is being directed by Michael Bay and will star Mark Wahlberg, according to Hasbro Chief Executive Officer Brian Goldner, who gave a presentation to investors on Friday.

No date has been set for “xXx” just yet, but filming is now underway.

Thankfully, the 2019 calendar is still pretty open for the time being, and I’m left to wonder if any studio is willing to challenge Paramount for that June 28th date.

The first four Transformers movies, which launched in 2007, have earned $3.8 billion at the box office worldwide.

However, the surprising news here is that Transformers 6 will follow on June 8th, 2018.

The news comes off the back of Paramount’s 2015 Transformers writers room sessions, which saw the studio secure some of Hollywood’s top writing talent with the mission of creating the next wave of the franchise’s movies.
