As Amazon announced Tuesday, the new batch of episodes will also feature guest turns from Anjelica Huston and Cherry Jones, as well as actors including Kathryn Hahn, Carrie Brownstein and Tig Notaro. Amazon will premiere the highly anticipated second season of TRANSPARENT this fall exclusively for Prime members on Amazon Instant Video in the USA, United Kingdom and Germany. Former West Wing star Bradley Whitford will also reprise his Emmy-winning roll. Post nuptials, Sarah gets in touch with her deeper desires, which isn’t always comfortable.
The season kicks off with Sarah (Amy Landecker) and Tammy’s (Melora Hardin) wedding – but surprise, surprise, their honeymoon period is short-lived. Ali zeroes in on her future, captivated by a new connection with Syd and a prolific feminist mentor.
The Pfefferman family are back. The core cast of the Pfefferman family, lead by Jeffrey Tambor as the transitioning Maura, will all return. The second season of Transparent is executive produced by Jill Soloway (Six Feet Under) and Andrea Sperling (Like Crazy).
“Now that the bubble wrap is off, it’s time for the whole family to transition”, she said in the release.

Transparent racked up plenty of awards last season, including a Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical.
