According to The Hollywood Reporter, this version of Non will be a Kryptonian military commander who picks a fight with arch-enemy Superman’s cousin Kara.

It was announced earlier this year that the Kryptonian villain Non will be menacing Melissa Benoist’s Kara Zor-El on the upcoming CBS DC Comics series, Supergirl.
The official description for Supergirl describes Non as “a former scientist in a league with the House of El”. He was brought into the comics universe in 2007 with Action Comics #845. Not entirely, but early indications suggest that Vance will recur as the character, and he will be one of the biggest threats that Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) faces as she works to become more of a hero and more comfortable in her own skin.
Supergirl will premiere on Monday, October 26 at a special time (8:30-9:30pm) before it moves to its regular time slot on Monday, November 2 from 8:00-9:00pm. Raised by the Danvers, she grew up with foster sister Chyler Leigh’s Alex and hid her powers and her identity.
