Treatment by Manziel includes ear injury, ex-girlfriend asserts

Johnny Manziel has had a troubled National Football League existence.

She denied it and he told her that she “had better not by lying to him”. He checked himself into rehab last offseason but was seen during the season drinking champagne at a club.

It’s time to stop laughing about Johnny Manziel now, though. Crowley’s attorney, Kathy Kinser, declined to comment.

When he was accused of assaulting Crowley again, this time in Fort Worth, the reaction was similar.

His future with the Browns was already looking questionable prior to this recent allegation of domestic violence.

Crowley, meanwhile, described them more seriously.

In this file photo made Tuesday, April 14, 2015, Johnny Manziel, left, sits with Colleen Crowley during a baseball game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers in Arlington, Texas.

Manziel has appeared in 14 games in two seasons with the Browns after being the No. 22 overall pick in the 2014 draft, throwing for 1,675 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Crowley stated that the argument continued on the way to the apartment and in the dwelling itself.

Manziel’s attorney, Bradley Beckworth, did not return a phone message Monday. Respondent had been outside pacing and when he came back in the apartment he asked me if I had FaceTimed my parents. When she saw he was in the parking lot she banged on her neighbor’s door for help, she wrote.

She said they went to dinner at Victor Tango’s restaurant in Dallas with three friends and then went to two bars before going to an “after party” at Hotel ZaZa. That’s when Manziel ran away.

You can Crowley’s full affidavit below. He then hit her in her left ear, rupturing the eardrum, and threatened murder-suicide, according to the affidavit.

Those aren’t “antics”, and the charges against Manziel don’t belong in the same context as his partying and on-field struggles.

Silver addressed his report and the Browns’ response in some follow-up tweets on Twitter. We can figure this out.

Manziel took her to Crowley’s vehicle, where she states she got in the car’s passenger seat “against my will”. Before they could make it down however, Respondent had taken off on foot. Silver also called out the Browns for protecting him and possibly enabling his bad behavior. Although I did not want him to take me to my vehicle, he would not take “no” for an answer. For his own sake, let’s all hope that Manziel gets the help that he needs.
