On Thursday night, the comedian shared a quick taste of his political shtick during an interview with newly-minted Late Show host Stephen Colbert.

Since the departure of Jon Stewart from “The Daily Show” last month, the new host Trevor Noah has been making strides getting his name out there and promoting his new show.
“Jon is like a Jewish Yoda”, replied Noah.
Needless to say, Noah will have his work cut out for him if he wants to fill the satire show’s main topic that was so prevalent to Stewart on the show. “It was three hours and ten minutes and no one said anything”, he told Colbert.
Updating the list of the 50 best stand-up specials on Netflix to include Trevor Noah: African American who made a big move up the rankings this week. Greatness. And the taxes we need to… with Iran, if we look at what’s happening… “I would never insult The Daily Show and throw out everything that works just because people think there should be a change, and at the same time, I wouldn’t be afraid to try something a little bit different“. America. Unity. Justice. Together.
Noah was first selected to replace Jon Stewart back in March. “I am approaching election year with glee”, he said during the EW Emmys Party Friday night in Los Angeles, and it’s thanks in part to Donald Trump. “He’s a tremendous comic and talent that we’ve loved working with”.

While Noah told EW he’s excited for the opportunity to host The Daily Show, he described the format as “a massive undertaking”.
