Trevor Noah Eviscerates Matt Lauer’s Presidential Forum Performance

Trump went from Wednesday’s NBC forum to an interview with a Kremlin mouthpiece, TV network Russia Today, arguing “it’s probably unlikely” that Russia was responsible for the hacking earlier this year of the computers of the Democratic National Committee – and despite the reported belief of various USA intelligence agencies that indeed the Russians are complicit, Trump argued that it was the Democrats who “are putting that out”.

On CNN, anchor Chris Cuomo pressed Conway on Trump’s Iraq War flip-flops.

“He doesn’t want to own that he wasn’t against it before it started”, Cuomo said. “As the campaign enters its final stage, Florida and OH, two of the largest and most important swing states, are too close to call, while North Carolina and Pennsylvania give Hillary Clinton the narrowest of leads”.

“Guys, he didn’t, she did”, said Conway. And he is willing to say it now. I ask you to search your souls, men and women alike. “On the flip side, Donald Trump [is] saying you can’t trust Hillary Clinton because of the decisions she has made”.

“Everything that we’re doing over at the Trump campaign, in particular, Mr. Trump, is done without the full support of the Republicans”.

Trump cited a 2004 Esquire article in which he questioned the Bush administration’s handling of the war.

Those numbers are also basically the same as Quinnipiac’s August poll, though Johnson has moved up a point and Stein is down one.

“Look at the Esquire magazine interview”, Conway said.

Conway similarly argued on “CBS This Morning” that Trump did the interview with King, “a personal friend of his”, and didn’t know where it would be played.

First, there was The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, with a reference to the USS Intrepid, the warship where the forum took place: “Here’s a bit of trivia for you: Did you know during World War II, on multiple occasions, kamikaze planes crashed into the Intrepid?”

“They obviously have a problem with her lies, her restart with Libya, with Boko Haram and Benghazi”, said Conway.

“Not really, Charlie”, she said. He is giving – he is on a radio show.

“It was a test, and he failed it”, Clinton said.

“She has acknowledged that vote and acknowledged it was a mistake”, Rose said.

“Why can’t he simply say that?” “Rose asked. “‘At one point I was, and then I changed my mind'”.

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan – the top elected Republican official who has frequently broken with Trump – again took a sharply different view from that of his party’s candidate.
