Comedy Central President Michele Ganeless told Ad Age, “It’s a broader, more targeted and largest campaign we have done in some time”. You look at Amy Schumer right now-I would argue that there is no more preeminent voice in comedy. And white-male dominated too – while Trevor is one of the two Black men on the cover of Vanity Fair (Larry Wilmore being the other), he ought to look no further than the writing staff of “Late Night With Stephen Colbert“, all of whom are white men. Incoming Daily Show host Trevor Noah, however, thinks the photo shoot provides an incomplete view of what’s going on in the world of comedy.
Comedy Central has been tracking Google-search behavior around “The Daily Show” and Mr. Noah and found popular searches include not just the age question but whether he has a girlfriend, said Walter Levit, chief marketing officer, Comedy Central. When it was announced that Noah was taking over the show, some of his old tweets were dug up from years ago, which contained some sexist and racist jokes.
OSN is also not screening The Late Show, in which Stephen Colbert replacing David Letterman.
Colbert was able to balance that poignancy with humor, and transition the interview from talking about tragedy to moving on to talk about other things, with a lighter note.
It’s also a conversation Noah can actively contribute to as, you know, a late-night host.

While many critics have said that Colbert’s “Late Show” does need to straighten out some glitches, the show has received high praise. The first step in that is you go, OK, there’s two men of color. The new host of “The Daily Show” hasn’t even started yet and he’s already kind of letting me down.
