Trevor Siemian thinks Broncos’ quarterback remains undecided
After a minor setback on Tuesday, the Broncos’ quarterback was back to throwing passes on Wednesday.

Ware teamed with fellow linebacker Von Miller to anchor a stingy Denver defense last season that got better in the playoffs.
“Any work you can get with those guys on the other side of the ball is good work, even if you’re on the scout team or if you’re running with the ones”, he said. “We’ll see. I’m conscious of Trevor for the last two days”. He doesn’t get too high or too low. “We want to do our part on this team also”. Kubiak expects Siemian to play Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams with no restrictions. He will start for the second straight game. Those decisions aren’t almost as clear, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.
Kubiak has split practice repetitions between Siemian and Sanchez virtually down the middle through the offseason and training camp. He was inactive for six games with plantar fasciitis in his right foot but returned in the final game of the regular season and started all three playoff games. However, it’s still unknown who will be the No. 2 QB behind Siemian. That inexperience hasn’t anxious the rest of the offense.
“I squandered an opportunity that game”, Sanchez said. “He earned my respect as a rookie”.
“It definitely helps (Lynch), but boy is it tough”, Kubiak said this week. Anderson said the offensive line is stronger and the offense is more cohesive than it was a year ago, which tailored its style to fit Manning.
One thing Siemian has discussed learning from Manning is about preparation, and that’s one reason why he says his approach does not change just because he’s starting. “It’s just fantastic where we’re at right now. I’m telling the truth”. “We know the system better”. Continuity is something that they’ll have to continue to develop so they run game can be effective from week one.
In the first start of his pro career in a preseason game last Saturday, Siemian led the Broncos on a game-opening scoring drive, then committed an untimely mistake with an underthrown pass intended for Demaryius Thomas. Most any quarterback coach will tell you that how a quarterback rebounds from mistakes, hard moments and the scrutiny that comes with them, are the biggest benchmarks for success for players who have the physical attributes they need for the job. “I think he was a little sore coming out but he worked through it and hopefully he’ll be better (Thursday)”.

While Kubiak has decided on his No. 1 quarterback for Saturday, he won’t choose the Week 1 starter until next week, before the preseason finale at Arizona.
