Senator Ajimobi also asked former Oyo Governor, Senator Rasheed Ladoja to accept the verdict of the tribunal and partner with him to rewrite the history of the state.
The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Oyo State, south-west Nigeria, has upheld the election of Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the April 11 polls.
It specifically rejected the evidences presented by all Ladoja’s witnesses, saying they were not specific to incidents as claimed as well as failed to prove the allegations beyond reasonable doubt. The tribunal was inaugurated in June with Justice F.C Obieze as chairman as well as Justices I.M Muhammad Karaye and J.E Ikede as members.
But the tribunal did not commence the pre-hearing session before Justice Obieze proceeded on retirement as a result of attaining 65 years.
The state Police Command said on Monday that it had deployed its men in the venue of the ruling, warning that anyone, who had no business with the tribunal, should stay away from the premises.
He tendered close to 200 exhibits and called many witnesses in support of his petition during the hearing session. Rashidi Ladoja of Accord Party.
Ladoja joined the APC, the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Rufus Akeju, as co-respondents.
According to Justice Mayaki, Adepoju’s self confession that he is a farmer of arable crops, makes whatever evidence he might have given before the tribunal on the election documents a mere personal opinion since he(Adepoju) is not an expert.

Ladoja and his party, represented by Richard Ogunwole (SAN) had alleged that the return of Ajimobi as the victor of the election was improper having failed to comply with the electoral law by engaging in various forms of malpractices.
