He tells The Sun, “There’s not going to be a funeral”.

“There’s going to be a cremation and a big party”.

British actor and TV presenter Christopher Biggins has shared details about Jackie Collins’ final send off.

The best-selling author – and younger sister of Dynasty star Dame Joan Collins – died on Saturday (September 19) after losing her six-year battle with breast cancer. He confirmed the 82-year-old will be in attendance for the occasion, but admitted he wasn’t sure if she will be speaking. She stayed close to her husband Percy Gibson and daughter Katy throughout the evening and was able to crack a smile as she mingled with guests.

Collins was afraid of seeing the doctor given her family’s history.

They also said that, despite the heartbreak, they could take comfort in the fact her legacy will continue to live on for years to come. “I know we’re all told to do it, but some of us are too stupid, and I was one of them”.

The prolific novelist, who kept her illness a secret from the public, spoke to People magazine in an interview published today.

She only told her sister she was battling the disease in the weeks before her death.
