Triple-A predicts gas prices to stay low in 2016
AAA experts point out that gas prices could rise higher than expected if there are significant changes in the oil markets such as producers limiting oil production or political events and conflicts disrupting production.

The drop is slightly greater than the national average, which has falled.
“Talk about starting the New Year off right”, said Patrick DeHaan, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst, in a prepared statement.
Chattanooga prices also are 4 cents per gallon below the statewide average for all Tennessee stations and are at the lowest level in almost seven years.
Chattanooga gas prices average 7.4 cents per gallon less than a month ago and are 30 cents per gallon less than the start of 2015.
Gas prices keep dropping across northern New England.
The relatively low gas prices have been attributed largely to falling prices of crude oil. It is unknown whether that will have an impact on the price at the pump just yet.
The current national average is hovering around the $2 mark, with the December average at $2.01, the lowest average since March of 2009.

A global glut of oil is keeping prices down, along with the easy access to Gulf Coast refineries in many southern states, including Texas. The auto club estimates Americans saved more than $115 billion dollars on gasoline in 2015 compared to the previous year.
