Trojans quarterback Ricky Town will transfer to another school
The top quarterback from USC’s highly-touted 2015 recruiting class has requested a transfer after spending only a few months on campus.

According to a tweet from Demetric Warren of Varsity Preps, 5-star USC quarterback Ricky Town has requested a switch from USC and Steve Sarkisian has verbally agreed.
For the 2015 season, this should not impact USC in a major way.
Here are three things to know about Ricky Town’s transfer. Barnett was the No. 2 quarterback in the 247Sports final ranking.
But after spending several months in Southern California, it seems Town had a hard time fitting into the Trojans’ crowded quarterback battle, which includes returning starter Cody Kessler and top 2014 recruit and projected backup Max Browne.
Since fall semester classes have not started at USC, Town will be able to transfer to another school immediately and sit out the season as a redshirt. As of now, the Trojans do not have a quarterback commit among the 15 players pledged to the program as part of its 2016 class.
Florida has been floated as a possible landing spot for Town as they have a need at quarterback and he reportedly has a good relationship with Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier.

Town, an 18-year-old from Ventura, Calif., was the state’s No. 14-ranked recruit.
