New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster said MA state police trooper Joseph Flynn, 32, and New Hampshire state police Andrew Monaco, 31, were arrested.
Simone was arrested at the end of a chase from Holden, Massachusetts, to Nashua, New Hampshire, that reached speeds of 100 miles per hour.
Simone, who was wanted on multiple warrants, was sent back to jail after being arraigned in Worcester on charges including larceny, failure to stop for police and assault with a unsafe weapon.
“Because they were both on duty law enforcement officers at the time the acts were committed, the charges are subject to an enhanced penalty”, Foster said in a news release.
Simone, a Worcester, Mass. native, was wanted by police on charges of assault and battery with a risky weapon, larceny and failure to stop for police.
David Procopio, of the Massachusetts State Police, said Flynn has been suspended without pay since the incident.
Both troopers are scheduled to be arraigned Sept 13 in Nashua District Court.
Video of the episode captured a pickup truck coming to a stop, after which more than half a dozen officers, one with a police dog, approach the auto.
A TV helicopter camera caught troopers moving in on Simone, who had exited his pickup and then was apparently assaulted by troopers while he appeared to be compliant and in the process of being arrested.

In the aftermath, Col. Robert Quinn, commander of New Hampshire State Police, said “The unnecessary, unjustified use of force will not be tolerated by this agency”.
