Troopers Have Busy Holiday Weekend
Seventy three people were injured in the wrecks, which occurred on state, federal highways and interstates.

RICHMOND – Six individuals lost their lives in traffic crashes on Virginia’s highways over the 2015 Thanksgiving holiday weekend, according to preliminary reports.
It was a busy Thanksgiving weekend for Kansas State Troopers. There was also about a 40-percent increase in injuries in those accidents over previous year.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol has reported its numbers of arrests and citations over the Thanksgiving weekend. There were 24 collisions previous year and 13 in 2013.
Six people died in traffic crashes in Virginia over the holiday weekend.
Troop J made 13 DUI arrests during the holiday period of 6 p.m., Wednesday through midnight Sunday.
The total was a drop from 2014’s eight fatalities.
