Trouble in store for BJP as Sonia hugs Mehbooba
Mr Beg rejected any differences between the two coalition partners or fresh conditions put up by the PDP or the BJP for forming the government in the state.

They said the PDP has demanded abolishing of deputy chief minister post which was held by the BJP in the Mufti-led government, return of power portfolio from the BJP and liberal central funding for the state in the new terms of alliance.
Swamy further said that both parties should sit and decide on the next Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister. J&K continues to be ruled by Governor NN Vohra, after Mehbooba Mufti’s reluctance to take oath after her father passed away in New Delhi on 7 November. The buzz within the PDP was that she was upset that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not visit her father in hospital or turn up at the funeral.
No notification for Governor’s Rule has been issued, Raj Bhavan sources told IANS.
In Jammu, a Raj Bhavan spokesman said: “After reaching concurrence from the president of India, Governor NN Vohra issued a notification today (Saturday) to impose Governor’s Rule in the state”.
Hussain added that Independents play a crucial role in this alliance and have upper hands over the negotiation table, a scenario PDP can’t think of.
For Mehbooba Mufti, her father’s chosen successor, and the PDP, the underwhelming turnout confirmed their worst fears of an eroding support base.
Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, stands front crossing a long political “corridor”, in the Indian parliament building, in New Delhi on April 4, 1990.
“We are not in any condition to discuss government formation at this moment so how can there be any talk of conditions”, Akhtar said.
“Sonia ji is scheduled to visit Srinagar tomorrow to offer condolence to Mehbooba ji”, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president Ghulam Ahmad Mir told PTI.
He said that he will meet the party president after she comes out of her shock due to Mufti Sahab’s demise. “It has been in the interest of the state and we want this to continue”, he said. PDP leaders stated the party is in mourning and a choice on authorities formation might exclusively be taken after Sunday. While Ram Madhav and senior union minister Nitin Gadkari (as official representative of the Modi government) have met her, any substantive discussion on coalition and formation of government has apparently not taken place.
He said that due to alliance with BJP, the PDP workers are being taunted and scolded by people.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah too has described the possibility of a PDP-BJP break-up as “smoke and mirrors”.
