Troy Aikman Critical Of Fox’s Decision To Hire Skip Bayless
“I believe success is achieved by acquiring and developing talented, respected and credible individuals, none of which applies to Skip Bayless”. Aikman will continue to say that now, even though Bayless is now a FOX Sports colleague.

Aikman didn’t address the claim while he was playing, but in a 2015 interview with Sports Illustrated he said it bothered him and Bayless made it all up for attention.
Troy Aikman isn’t going to ignore his company’s big-name, free-agent acquisition.
Aikman has been the network’s lead National Football League analyst since 2002 and, according to Sports Illustrated, has an excellent reputation among his Fox Sports co-workers, but his disdain for Bayless goes back to the 1990s, when the former ESPN commentator and Dallas-area columnist made an unsubstantiated claim in a book about Aikman’s sexual preference.
A 40-second clip includes shots of the contestants in the middle of a heated debate as well as Lil Wayne shirtless and rapping: “Let’s go face to face/ I embrace debate/ I don’t make mistakes/ I just make my case”.
Aikman and Bayless do have a history, so the Hall of Famer’s criticism isn’t out of nowhere. In Bayless’ 1996 book on the 1990s Cowboys dynasty, Hell-Bent: The Crazy Truth About The Dallas Cowboys, he alleged that the Super Bowl-winning quarterback is gay.

FOX reportedly gave Bayless a contract reportedly worth more than million a year in addition to a $4 million signing bonus.
