Troy Deeney: West Ham were trying to mug us off
West Ham face an FA investigation as a result of the ugly scenes, which is set to scrutinise the distance between rival fans and the levels of stewarding inside the ground.

The Hammers confirmed on Monday evening that a total of 10 supporters were ejected from the stadium during the 4-2 Premier League defeat with almost 50 complaints made over standing in seated areas and anti-social behaviour.
The early joy of West Ham’s openers dissipated and fans began to clash mid-way through the second half. The Hammers have also had to make due without the services of their star midfielder Dimitri Payet for the most part; the French global has only made one appearance as a sub this Premier League season.
The problems in the stands only serve to enhance the mood that things are not rosy on or off the pitch for the Irons at the moment. His work at the head of affairs and linking with strike partner Deeney caused the West Ham defence much trouble and he played a crucial part in three of the goals.
West Ham really had the bit between their teeth. “One board member was even spat on by fans”. “The club will continue prioritising this approach around the stadium”.
“We had other opportunities to kill the game, but we didn’t manage to do that and defensively we made a couple of mistakes”.
“It’s hard to explain”, said Bilic.
Mazzarri added: “Another concept I always tell my players is that they have to believe that we can win until the referee whistles for the end of the game”.
However, that decision mattered little as the visitors held firm to secure the spoils and condemn West Ham to a third league defeat of the campaign.
During yesterday’s match, West Ham were initially in the lead after two headers from Michail Antonio.

Troy Deeney cited West Ham’s “disrespectful” showboating as the motivation for Watford’s superb comeback at the London Stadium yesterday.
