Wreaths Across America is a program that places fresh wreaths on each grave in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
“We have so many veterans here at Walmart that give so much anyhow”. The wreaths were dropped off the bridge into the river and carried out to sea.
More than 25,000 volunteers are expected to help place the projected 900,000 to one million veteran wreaths at Arlington on December 12, once they are delivered. Wreaths Across America receives no government funding.
The David Douglas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) of Redmond will conduct a Wreaths Across America ceremony at 9 a.m. this Saturday at the Cedar Lawns Memorial Park and Cemetery, 7200 180th Ave. ME businessman Morrill Worcester started the organization in 1992 when he and a small band of volunteers began placing wreaths at the cemetery, remembering the power of the resting place when he visited as a small boy.
“Omnitracs is humbled and proud to be able to join the ranks of other industry supporters to honor and commemorate those who have selflessly served and paid the ultimate price for our nation’s freedom”, said John Graham, CEO of Omnitracs.

TravelCenters of America announced it will also participate by working with the TCA’s Truckloads of Respect program to coordinate the annual wreath-laying ceremony.
