Trump acknowledges Russia’s meddling in United States elections – White House
According to what we know from the team of investigators employed by special counsel Robert Mueller, Russian operatives began planning to interfere in 2016 several months before that election cycle began.

A number of the findings laid out within the indictment echo those already released by a US intelligence community assessment in January of a year ago.
Unanswered, as of yet, is whether there was any collusion between the Russians and the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump. They flooded the Internet with comments and bots, and by 2014, the IRA was so notorious that it became known simply as the troll factory.
“We need to inform the American public that this is real, that this is going to be happening, and the resilience needed for us to stand up and say we’re not going to allow some Russian to tell us how to vote, how we ought to run our country”, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats said. Trump later said he thought the Russian leader was earnest when he denied any election meddling.
The group is accused of wire fraud, identity theft, and a number of other charges. He callously used the shooting massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School as political cover, blaming the Federal Bureau of Investigation for missing leads on the alleged shooter because the agency was “spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign”. He said on Twitter that the indictments of the Russians proved that there was no collusion with his campaign.
The Russians didn’t overlook North Carolina in 2016, according to the indictment. Or if fewer progressives had voted for the Green Party’s Jill Stein, whose candidacy the Russians worked hard to boost?
He wrote on Twitter that Russian Federation had indeed succeeded in sowing discord in the U.S. but denied that his campaign colluded with Russian Federation, saying that this was what Moscow wanted people to believe.
Peskov said that the claims centred on Russian citizens but that the Russian government was not, and could not, be involved. The Russians indicted are not in custody. USA officials say has extensive ties to the country’s military and political establishment.
They communicated with unwitting Trump campaign volunteers, promoted the rallies on social media, and paid individuals to perform certain tasks.
Trump has long insisted his campaign did not collude with Russian Federation, even as the USA intelligence community, and now Mueller, have concluded that Russian Federation conducted a wide campaign to meddle in the election to help Trump win.
On Tuesday afternoon, Galvin said he thinks the security of the state’s voter database will be just as critical as it was in 2016 during the 2018 elections and beyond. “The majority of the Russian ad spend happened AFTER the election”, said Goldman on Twitter. Military sales represent a considerable slice of Russia’s trade with the world, and Trump has moved to loosen restrictions on the sale of United States military equipment. He continued in another Tweet.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said there were “no allegations in this indictment” that any American was a “knowing participant” in the Russian scheme.
Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats, closed two Russian compounds in USA, sanctioned Moscow and alerted us to its conspiracy against our election.

It was not the first time that Trump has appeared at odds with his own senior national security staff, which has largely taken a hawkish position toward Russian Federation amid a plunge in relations between the former Cold War foes.
