Trump aide says having charges dropped a relief
Therefore, the state would not be prosecuting a battery charge against Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign manager, Palm Beach County prosecutor Dave Aronberg said in the Thursday press conference. (AP) – Donald Trump’s campaign manager will not be prosecuted on a misdemeanor battery charge after prosecutors determined there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him of forcibly grabbing a female reporter.

During a press conference announcing the end of the criminal case, prosecutors said Lewandowski’s argued he was defending Donald Trump from a perceived threat. Law enforcement officials want freedom to view a treasure trove of information – including emails, photos and financial records – that customers are storing on electronic gadgets and in so-called “cloud” computing centers.
After Lewandowski was charged, Trump said he was actually grabbed by Fields, said he wouldn’t fire his aide, and questioned whether Fields’ bruises were really from the episode and why she didn’t scream. “This reaction could have reasonably led Mr. Lewandowski…to legitimately believe that Ms. Fields was making unwanted physical contact with Mr. Trump, which caused Mr. Lewandowski to react by pulling her away”.
The battery charge that police filed against Lewandowski on March 29 rattled Trump’s campaign before the Wisconsin Republican presidential primary, which he lost a week later to Texas Sen.
Mr. Cohen said that as part of his defense of Mr. Lewandowski he provided prosecutors evidence that the Secret Service had been attempting to move reporters away from Mr. Trump before the alleged encounter.
Lewandowski denied the allegation, saying the 28-year-old journalist was “an attention seeker” and “delusional”.
“The apology, in a case like this, obviously would be encouraged”, Aronberg said. “I said ya but haven’t heard back about it”.
Fields, who was a reporter for Breitbart at the time, resigned from the conservative news outlet one week later, along with other staffers. The deputy added that when the incident occurred, Fields was in a scrum in a protective area she was instructed not to be in.
Aronberg also said that Trump reached out to his office, saying Trump shared “his version of the facts, and his opinion of the case, and then urged us to do the right thing”.
Fields showed police her left forearm, which “appeared to show a grabbing-type injury”, according to the investigating officer.
Prosecutors in Jupiter decided they’re not moving forward with any charges, as it’s related to the Michelle Fields incident, and I wanted to give you a chance to respond, and give your take. Marco Rubio in Tallahassee and lived in the same dormitory for a time as Texas Sen.

The Trump campaign challenged initial reports last month that Lewandowski had been arrested. The prosecutor says he spoke with the Republican presidential candidate about the case, but it didn’t have any bearing on the decision.
