As a result, Pennsylvania’s April 26 statewide primary election is relatively meaningless – a beauty pageant.
Trump earned nearly all of New York’s 95 delegates for the Republicans, putting him at 845 delegates after Tuesday’s vote. NBC10’s Lauren Mayk walks us through why Pennsylvania is so important to the presidential hopefuls. It’s not the first time Biden has made comments interpreted as support for the Vermont senator.
Trump campaigned Saturday in the Northeast, where several states vote on Tuesday. NBC10’s Aundrea Cline-Thomas has that story.
“I don’t know, I think she’s qualified, I guess”, Trump said before adding that “that doesn’t mean she’s good”. But I would hate to make that choice, if I felt that way. The blunt reply: “I don’t think we can”.
Kasich campaign manager John Weaver told CNN at a meeting of GOP leaders Thursday that the OH governor is making his case directly to the prospective delegates. NBC10 political analyst Jim Shultz has more on what’s going on in the race.
” … the sturdy opposition to (Trump’s) candidacy within the party and his own organizational deficiencies have hampered him at the state and local level, where a byzantine process is underway to elect delegates to the Republican convention in Cleveland this summer”, wrote Jonathan Martin on Wednesday.
