Trump aims for victory in NH after Iowa disappointment
With the Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders win, other political candidates like Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz will have to go back to the drawing board to find ways to win the remaining states during a long campaign season. Sanders has led the polls in New Hampshire for months, but he needed to deliver after the second-place finish in Iowa.

The day was also a blow for Rubio, who had appeared to be breaking away from the second-tier Republican pack after a stronger-than-expected third-place showing in Iowa.
Bush, grateful to be in the mix, said New Hampshire voters had “reset” the race, adding that his campaign “is not dead” and will move on to SC.
On the Republican side, businessman Donald Trump took around 33 percent of the votes, beating out rivals with a long track record in United States politics, including Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
John Kasich grabbed the second spot, with 16 percent of the vote. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., center, walks with members of his family including sons Dominick, 8, left, and Anthony, 10, as they walk to greet people outside a polling place at Windham High S… Results were still incomplete as of 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Both New Hampshire and Iowa are overwhelmingly white states that are far less diverse than the nation as a whole. “Nevada and SC are where she needs to regain her footing after New Hampshire”.
Among Democrats, Sanders has maintained a sizeable advantage over Clinton in New Hampshire for weeks. “Thank you, New Hampshire!” tweeted Sanders, who is treated like a local hero in this state that borders Vermont, which he represents in the US Senate.
He pointed to the FBI investigation into Clinton for her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state and said Sanders’ easy win is proof that Democrats find her “dishonesty” unacceptable.
Nearly half of Republican primary voters (46 percent) said they feel betrayed by politicians from the Republican Party and of those, 32 percent backed Trump. He now has more delegates than Hillary Clinton as the race heads west and south.
“We are going to fight for every vote in every state”, Clinton told the cheering crowd after she conceded defeat. Of those who said they were dissatisfied or angry, 32 percent voted for Trump followed by 15 percent for Kasich.
“Even if they are not supporting me now”, she said, “I support them”.
For Trump, the brash real estate magnate and television personality who has never held public office, the win was an important rebound after his loss to Texas Sen.
New Hampshire was once friendly territory for Clinton.
Since he began to dominate the race after his entry last summer, Trump has bewildered party regulars with his bombastic style and his appeal to GOP voters disaffected with more traditional candidates. Most Democratic and Republican voters made decisions based on where candidates stand on the issues, not their personal qualities, like shared values.

And an ABC News exit poll found two-thirds of Republican voters said they favor a temporary ban on USA entry for Muslims who are not US citizens, an idea that originated with Trump in December.
