Trump and Clinton announce July fundraising totals
It’s no day at the beach, but Hillary Clinton is having the political equivalent of a quiet August.

Last week, Breitbart, the conservative news outlet whose chairman, Stephen K. Bannon, was named chief executive of Trump’s campaign earlier this week, published an opinion piece by Jane Orient, MD, of Tuscon, Ariz. and the head of the tea party-related Association of American Physician and Surgeons (AAPS), also claiming that Clinton was “medically unfit to serve.”
“‘I think I unraveled her”. And whoever is out there strategically dropping Democratic emails may be readying an October surprise for Hillary Clinton, a massive document dump that buries her. Her cancer screening evaluations are all negative. “We need a leader with qualities that resemble those of Winston Churchill, and I believe that leader is Donald Trump”. As a liberal, I hardly find Clinton to be an ideal candidate, but at the very least she’ll protect the dignity of the highest office in the United States.
Both Trump and Clinton have differing views of the situation.
“Donald Trump never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity”, said Whit Ayres, a GOP pollster who worked for Florida Sen.
“All the people who have been saying, ‘Let’s get Trump to pivot, let’s get him to be more presidential.’ That is presidential”, she said. But a US-supported military offensive in Libya this year has all but driven the group out of its former headquarters there. The new leadership at Trump Tower is heralding the campaign’s first television ads. “It gives you more real estate in a more uncluttered way to break through”. “Clinton’s campaign did not respond to questions”.
Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat, said ahead of Trump’s visit that he wouldn’t be involved, adding that Trump is welcome, “but not for a photo-op”.
Since the bus tour that followed the end of the Democratic convention, Clinton also has focused heavily on fundraising. Her head-to-head advantage this month ranges from one point to 10 points.
She’s keeping up the pace, heading this weekend to Martha’s Vineyard off the MA coast and to California next week. But he’s running critically low on time to build an operation that can compete with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
“Every time he says something that makes me cringe, or something that appears to be indecent, it makes me wonder how in the world can I vote for this guy”, said state Rep. Allen Peake, a Macon Republican.
Trump’s trip was a striking detour for a candidate who has largely stuck to boisterous rallies and phone-in interviews to appeal to voters.
“My father just didn’t want to have the distraction looming over the campaign and quite frankly looming over all the issues that Hillary’s facing right now”, he said.
The twin imperatives for the Trump campaign are simple ones. They eat up his false narrative on issues like a war on law enforcement, when violence against police officers actually has been lower under Barack Obama than any two-term president in modern history.
What is shocking is that Trump would argue that the only way he could lose the state would be if there was cheating.
But in Georgia, Trump has so far been spared the embarrassing string of objectors who have hobbled his campaign elsewhere.
Eisenhower had Vice President Nixon do it for him.
Pointing out his outrageous statements, pitiful campaign strategy and total lack of a policy platform is a lament of the party’s current state, not an attempt to assist Clinton in what is shaping up to be her inevitable return to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
“She’s just got to execute a campaign professionally”, said Tyler, the former Cruz aide. She has transmitted classified information over it, some of which was most likely accessed by foreign interests.

Those revelations included an Associated Press report from Thursday, which revealed Manafort’s firm orchestrated a covert USA lobbying operation on the party’s behalf.
