Trump And Mexican President Are Now Feuding On Twitter
Their meeting was civil enough on the face of it, but there was a “huge” gap in their views on The Wall.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has failed in his first foreign policy test, his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton said as the real estate tycoon returned from Mexico City after meeting the Mexican president. “So Mr. Trump hurriedly inserted a new sentence in his immigration speech… adding, ‘They don’t know it yet but they’re going to pay for the wall'”.
Later, Trump told the media that he and his host president in Mexico did not clearly discuss the cost of the multibillion-dollar wall project – a statement that the Mexican president did not contest while alongside Trump.
Trump apparently wasn’t fearless enough to discuss which country would pay for the wall during his recent trip to Mexico.
“I repeat what I told him personally, Mr. Trump: Mexico will never pay for a wall”, Peña Nieto said in Spanish in a post on his official Twitter account, responding to a tweet earlier Thursday from Trump saying “Mexico will pay for the wall”. Sensitivities in Mexico regarding Trump’s visit, and specifically paying for the border wall, are running high. “On Day One, we will begin working on an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, handsome southern wall”, he boasted to his mostly white nativist supporters.
To fund construction of a new USA border wall, Donald Trump and senior advisers are considering various ideas, including the use of assets seized from drug cartels and others in the illicit drug trade.

Donald Trump’s back-to-back immigration-focused events in Mexico and Arizona were an astounding display of political whiplash. He said at the moment there were some 625,000 illegal migrants in the USA, including Syrians and other refugees.
