Trump as nominee less of a threat to Obama’s legacy

“If I’m elected I would be very strong in putting certain judges on the bench that I think maybe could change things”, Trump has said. Speaking on ABC’s “This Week”, Trump questioned the need for party unity, arguing that his campaign is unlike any before and won’t rely on the same political calculations.

“I am willing to pay more, and you know what, the wealthy are willing to pay more”, the presumed Republican nominee and famously wealthy Trump told ABC’s “This Week”.

“I am not quite ready as president to see him as President”, said Brooke. Trump said Ryan had called him three weeks ago, after winning the NY primary, to congratulate him.

Trump said Ryan “blindsided” him by declining to endorse him. “As I understand it, [Clinton] is now reaching out to Jeb Bush’s fundraisers in order to raise money from them, and that really casts a doubt on the parts of millions of Americans”, Sanders said. In addition to renouncing his own tax plan, he said he’s now open to raising the minimum wage and that he was no longer self-funding his campaign (a point he constantly bragged about in the primary debates). Lindsey Graham, said last week they wouldn’t vote for Trump. Trump’s final opponents, Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich, bowed out after the May 3 IN primary, where Trump captured 53 per cent of the vote.

Ben Howe, a writer for the conservative blog RedState, has cited similar reasons for supporting Hillary Clinton in this election, calling Trump “a sociopathic maniac”. He told Reuters in April that Cantor’s defeat in 2014 “reinforced in my mind” that he could defeat Ryan.

Trump said Hillary Clinton, who was first lady during the impeachment crisis, was an enabler because “she treated these women horribly… and some of these women were destroyed, not by him but by the way that Hillary Clinton treated them after everything went down”.

“I encourage all delegates who supported my campaign – and who support a constitutional conservative agenda that will grow jobs, protect our freedoms, and ensure our security – to actively participate in shaping the Party platform and rules in a manner that will ensure our cause is advanced”, he wrote in the signed letter to Arnold. Young people want to embrace a brand that’s compassionate and cool and hip and, of course, the media has beat up on Trump and the other Republicans, relentlessly called them bigots, called them cold-hearted. Short of that, Republicans risk losing not just the contest for the White House but also losing their majorities in Congress. “Bill Clinton was the worst in history, and I have to listen to her talking about it?” he thundered.

“He was impeached for lying about what happened with a woman, and she’s going to take ads about little Donald Trump?”.

A poll in March by Marquette University Law School showed Ryan with more than an 80 percent approval rating among Wisconsin Republicans. “I think it would be better if it were unified, I think it would be – there would be something good about it. But I don’t think it actually has to be unified in the traditional sense”.
