Trump backs out of Sanders debate

“The inspector general just came out with a report”.

Clinton, meanwhile, has the delegate math squarely in her favor.

But he repeated the notion that superdelegates, of which he needs more in a longshot bid to take the nomination, should indeed scrutinize the report.

“You know, I wish it would end so that all the concentration would be against Trump and the Democratic Party can unite against Trump”, Silva said.

It’s safe to say that the many, many of Sanders supporters can feel safe in the knowledge that even now, Sanders is not ready to hand the nomination over to Clinton and continues to fight for the platform of progressive Democrats.

He also declined to comment on the FBI investigation into the Clinton email scandal, including what impact the findings might have on a Clinton general election bid.

In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Sanders discussed the proposed debate between himself and the presumptive GOP nominee.

In January, New York businessman Donald Trump was one of more than a dozen Republican presidential contenders in a field with no clear favorite. “There’s no doubting that”.

“There were 400 superdelegates who announced their support for Secretary Clinton before anyone else was in the race, before the first ballot was cast, and I think that’s just patently absurd and undemocratic”, Sanders said. Rank-and-file Republicans, meanwhile, are showing some signs of rallying behind their nominee-to-be, leading to the first polls showing Trump tied or slightly above Clinton.

“We are prepared to accept one of those offers and look forward to working with the Trump campaign to develop a time, place and format that is mutually agreeable”, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver said in a statement.

Clinton’s lead in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is almost insurmountable, but Sanders has continued to win primaries and draws far larger and more raucous crowds to his rallies. When superdelegates are included Clinton’s lead swells to 2,310 to 1,542, leaving the former secretary of state 73 short of clinching the nomination.

Trump has blasted the Democratic Party’s nominating process as “rigged” against Sanders.

“If we can raise for maybe women’s health issues or something“. So with the event now dead, it was only fitting that Sanders would return to late night on Friday to knock Trump for backing out.

“You’re either with Hillary or you’re with Trump”, he said.

The sad part of all this drama and intrigue is that this is the flawless message to be hitting Hillary Clinton on, but Sanders is exactly the wrong person to carry the banner.
