Trump calls Bill Clinton ‘one of the great abusers’
Thursday on MSNBC, former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean criticized Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s effort to take on Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton by attacking her husband former President Bill Clinton.

If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his bad record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong! In response, Clinton accused Trump of having a “penchant for sexism”.
Bill Clinton’s testimony for a lawsuit brought by Paula Jones, who alleged sexual harassment by Clinton when he was governor of Arkansas and she was a state employee, included a denial of a sexual relationship with Lewinsky.
Veteran Democratic party strategist Hank Sheinkopf, who advised Bill Clinton during his 1996 re-election campaign, believes Hillary Clinton made her campaign vulnerable to Trump’s latest line of attack when she accused him of sexism, despite the seeming inevitability of the subject becoming a campaign issue.
On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton held a large lead over Vermont Sen. Trump has claimed that it describes overwhelming defeat instead of anything inappropriate.
“And [Hillary] wants to accuse me of things. Should we believe them as well?”
Trump’s latest broadsides on the Clintons – a potential preview of a nasty, personal general election – could benefit both sides as they seek to energize voters leading into the first primary contests. The Clintons preferred the Dominican Republic.
The more important Bill Clinton question, as he hits the campaign trail in the new year on his wife’s behalf, is whether a two-for-the-price-of-one Clinton argument comes with too much baggage for the American people to carry for four or eight years.
Then there were Trump’s pitches to the former president to settle in a gilded Trump building in Manhattan when he and Hillary Clinton left the White House.
Soros told Neera Tanden during a dinner sponsored by Democracy Alliance, a liberal group, that he “regretted his decision in the primary – he likes to admit mistakes when he makes them and that was one of them”, Tanden told Clinton in a May 2012 email. And all had come under attack from Bill Clinton campaign operatives, labeled bimbos and trailer trash.
The Clinton-Lewinsky affair dominated headlines and wearied the country for a year during Bill Clinton’s impeachment and trial, where he was narrowly acquitted in the Senate.
Mr. Trump alleged that it was Ms. Hillary who first started this rivalry.

Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus has been critical of Trump but on Tuesday wrote that she agreed with him that Bill Clinton’s past is relevant to his wife’s campaign, given that she is simultaneously utilising her husband and calling Trump sexist.
