Without mentioning why only black Americans seem to be shot dead by (predominantly white) law enforcement officers for no reason, Bolt said “this same race-baiting story, this same anti-white story, is being imported here”, as evidenced by Melbourne’s upcoming BLM rally. “Hispanic lives matter. [Focusing on black lives is] anti-American and it’s racist”.
‘I couldn’t help but wonder if it had been me, a black man, a black cop, on TV, assassinated, laying on the ground dead, .would my friends and family still think black lives mattered?
The LAPD has come under intense criticism over the last two years for several officer-involved shootings of black men.
However, Mckesson was quick to set the record straight in an interview with Yahoo News. “Then they need to listen to our side”. She’d also like to see off-duty officers appear out-of-uniform at various groups’ meetings and events to underscore that they are part of the community, too, as individuals. “They tend to instigate rather than heal and find solutions to the problem”.
He added: “We have to talk with the police”. The only thing these protests do is get the organizers some publicity, give the participants a story to tell, and get those who are paid to protect them killed.
Giuliani also accused the Black Lives Matter movement of putting a target on the backs of police officers. “This is where we’re stuck”. “Again, it’s students, it’s community members who are concerned, who want their voices to be heard”.

The police related killing comes right on the heels of two highly publicized and racially charged shootings that occurred, which has rocked the country with racial unrest and protests.
