U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Aurora, has become the first House Republican to expressly distance himself from Donald Trump in a campaign ad. The rally is being held on a Friday night opposite the opening ceremonies of the Olympics.
In an interview Friday on WISN radio in Wisconsin, Ryan also reiterated that the endorsement he cares about is from his own voters. He said in the same interview that Mr McCain had not done enough for veterans and criticised Ms Ayotte for distancing herself from him during the campaign. In addition to Ryan, he also backed McCain and Ayotte, who like Ryan face primary challenges.
Republicans are concerned that Trump could lose not just his White House bid, but also cost them their control of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Ryan said: “I’m just going to rise above this stuff and I’m not going to get involved in some sort of petty back and forth”.

She added, “But Hillary Clinton is not an option”.
Trump’s campaign said his economic advisory panel included former steel executive Dan DiMicco; tobacco company Vector Group Ltd President and CEO Howard Lorber; and Trump campaign finance chairman and investment manager Steven Mnuchin.
