Trump calls on GOP to improve African-American outreach
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has asked African-American voters to vote for him since they “have nothing to lose” in the United States. “I promise you”, Trump said during a rally Friday in Dimondale, Mich., a town where in 2010 just 9 of the town’s 1,234 residents were black, according to census data.

Trump also criticized Hillary Clinton for using the black communities for its votes, but then giving jobs to refugees over members of the African American community.
Trump argued that Democrats have taken black voters for granted and vowed to “produce for the African-Americans”.
Trump promised in the speech that if elected in November, he will receive “over 95 per cent of the African-American vote” when he runs for re-election in 2020.
“Look how much African American communities are suffering under Democratic control”, Trump said.
Most polls show Trump trailing Clinton significantly among black voters in particular, though Trump has repeatedly claimed that has strong support from the demographic.
On Friday, after accepting the resignation of his campaign manager Paul Manafort and touring the areas affected by flooding in Louisiana, Trump flew to MI to deliver a speech at a rally. He also swore to “produce” for African-Americans where Democrats had failed.
Though he went off-script in this instance, this was a theme Trump had essayed the day before in North Carolina where he asked for a chance, making the same you-have-nothing-to-lose argument.
“Tonight, I’m asking for the vote of every single African-American citizen in this country who wants to see a better future”, he said to supporters.
Later Friday evening, Hillary Clinton’s Twitter account linked to an excerpt from Trump’s speech and said, “This is so ignorant it’s staggering”.
What exactly has all the pandering from the Democratic Party done for the Black community?
He attempted to bring Brown back to addressing policies that are not now working for the black community.
The move followed a shake-up in his campaign management in the face of falling poll numbers that quickly prompted noticeable changes to his campaigning tactics.

“It’s time to get our country back to work and that includes an all-out effort to help young African-Americans get the good paying jobs that they deserve”, Trump said.
