Trump calls Putin interference unlikely on Russian TV

“My first budget will allot $20 billion for school choice”, Trump said. She also fleshed out several national security priorities if she is elected, including trying to take out the leader of the Islamic State and vowing to defeat the extremist group without putting USA troops on the ground in Iraq or Syria. Trump announced the endorsements of 88 retired generals and admirals on Tuesday; on Wednesday, Clinton announced that she had 95.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are back at it today – Trump switching his focus to education, while the Democratic nominee is keeping national security in the spotlight.

“Take the oil? The United States of America does not invade other countries to plunder and pillage”, Clinton said.

Clinton’s campaign, in an effort to paint Trump as a national security risk, has kept close tabs on former defense officials who have endorsed the former secretary of state – particularly those who worked in Republican administrations. Clinton does marginally better among Democrats than Trump does with Republicans in a head-to-head race, while independents favor Trump, 48-39.

Trump used the start of a speech about education at a charter school in Cleveland to push back at Democratic rival Hillary Clinton’s statement that his position on Iraq is pretty much like her own: She voted for the 2003 war as a USA senator from NY but has since disavowed the vote. Trump was asked about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s praise for him.

The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment. Miller later said Trump wouldn’t have agreed to do the interview had he known it would be aired on RT.

Ellis said he wants to know whether Clinton is taking a pledge not to replace the current generals with her own. Clinton was asked about the ad several times, and voted against a Senate resolution denouncing the ad, before she finally condemned it.

“Maybe the Democrats are putting that out – who knows”, Mr rump averred to Mr King. “Vladimir Putin is violating the sovereignty of neighboring countries”, Ryan said.

“Hillary Clinton answered email questions differently last night than she has in the past”, he said.

Clinton also has a slim lead with white women, 46% to 45%, while Trump is ahead with white men 55% to 35%.

At Friday’s meeting, which the campaign dubbed a “working session”, Michael Chertoff – who served as President George W. Bush’s final secretary of homeland security, sat at Clinton’s side.
