Trump Campaign Floats Every Defense In the Book For Second Amendment Fiasco
Donald Trump’s campaign has been scrambling to explain the Republican nominee’s apparent suggestion on Tuesday that Hillary Clinton and her Supreme Court picks be shot if the Democrat wins in November.

The appearance at a rally in Wilmington, N.C., renewed Republican fears that Trump can’t be prevented from sabotaging himself. He added, “By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks”.
Clinton obviously has Secret Service protection, and Cathy Milhoan, director of communication for the agency said they were “aware of the comments” but had no further statement.
“Nobody in that room thought anything other than what you just said”.
Trump’s reaction later as the uproar grew: “Give me a break”.
Add those numbers to the 50 Republican national security officials who say a Trump presidency would risk America’s national security, and it sounds like Clinton will have more success than the USA men’s basketball team at the Olympics. You will note that the emails in question do not even mention his name – which appeared frequently on the front page of The Post and other newspapers at the time.
Since the Republican National Convention last month, Trump has been involved in controversy after controversy, as reports of “suicidal” staff members have also put a strain on his campaign.
Watch an excerpt from Trump’s speech in the video above! Days later, Trump also endorsed Ryan. Susan Collins became the latest to declare she won’t vote for her party’s nominee, explicitly pointing to his “constant stream of cruel comments”.
“I don’t understand it”. Yes, Donald Trump said something remarkably very bad AGAIN.
It can’t always be, “Oh, crap, Donald Trump said” and then fill in the blank. But Tuesday’s comments knocked the campaign off-message once again. Progress NC Action, for example, pushed North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory to disavow Trump’s comments and rescind his endorsement of the NY real-estate mogul.
Trump’s campaign issued a statement saying Trump’s words were nothing more than a call for Second Amendment supporters to vote.
He was talking about gun control. “It’s an assassination threat, seriously upping the possibility of a national tragedy & crisis”.
Norman Ornstein, a resident scholar at the center-right American Enterprise Institute, called Trump’s comments “a reckless statement from a reckless maniac”.
He tells you that he’s heard many people say something and this must mean that many people really have said that thing, rather than just, say, being a helium-filled tease.
Hours after Donald Trump drew strong backlash for his comments that gun-rights supporters might be able to do something to stop Hillary Clinton, Pence stressed that his running mate was not calling for violence.
“This is simple – what Trump is saying is unsafe. A person seeking to the be president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way”.
The Trump campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for elucidation.

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment”, Trump said during his rally on Tuesday afternoon, sparking boos from the crowd.
