Trump campaign releases results from physical

Liver and thyroid function tests conducted on Trump were all within the normal range, Bornstein wrote.

The physical occurred on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 – before Hillary Clinton’s health episode on Sunday – with Trump’s doctor, Dr. Harold N. Bornstein. His blood tests show a cholesterol level of 169, with his level of high-density lipoproteins at 63, his low-density lipoproteins at 94, and a blood pressure rate that is 116 over 70.

Trump was also asked about reproductive health and he said that he feels women should be able to obtain birth control without a prescription. In his family history there is no history of heart disease; his father, Fred Trump, a NY real estate developer who died at 93, contracted Alzheimer’s Disease late in his long life. “I haven’t had a cold in a long time – years”, the presidential candidate said. But one of them – Kelly Platt, a pharmacist intern who said she is a Trump supporter – said Trump told Oz that he is so good at golf he could join the PGA Tour.

Trump recorded an interview Wednesday with Dr. Mehmet Oz, which will be aired Thursday afternoon.

Clinton, on the heels of her own illness-related incident this week, released a health bulletin on Wednesday after being grounded by pneumonia at the height of the White House race.

The choice to reveal medical results on a TV talk show is an unusual one for a presidential candidate, but one that is certainly in line with the former reality TV star’s unconventional campaign.

But a campaign spokeswoman confirmed that Trump handed Dr. Oz a one-page summary of the physical exam he underwent last week.

Earlier this year, Bornstein drew attention for writing that Trump would be the healthiest president in history.

During recording of the segment Wednesday morning, Trump finally did present its celebrity host with results from an examination performed last week, according to a statement on the show’s website.

Hillary Clinton’s doctor says she is recovering from her pneumonia and remains “healthy and fit to serve as President of the United States”. Clinton has gone back out on the campaign trail today.

Trump, ever the showman, appeared on “The Dr. Oz Show” in what was billed by the campaign as a discussion about his general well-being and his family’s medical history.
