Trump Cancels Press Event Announcing Endorsement By Black Pastors After They
Trump today was scheduled to meet with about 100 Black pastors, and then hold an important press conference announcing their endorsement.

Pastor Darrell Scott, who has endorsed Trump and arranged the Monday meeting, told the Associated Press that there was a “miscommunication”.
Bush has become more critical of Trump in recent days, hitting him for failing to stop attendees at a campaign rally from roughing up a Black Lives Matter protester and over Trump’s claims – which fact-checkers have called false – that Muslim-Americans in New Jersey celebrated the 9/11 attacks.
A number of pastors said that Monday’s meeting was never meant to be an endorsement of Trump and were upset that it was being portrayed as such.
Steve Parson, a black pastor from Richmond, Virginia, said prior to the meeting that he was there in “total support” of Trump.
“You’re running for President of the United States”. They also expressed concern that the meeting on Monday would “give Trump the appearance of legitimacy among those who follow your leadership and respect your position as clergy”.
Trump “said we had no interest in being involved in Syria”.
“I think what happened, probably: It gets publicity, unfortunately, as everything I do gets publicity”, Trump lamented.
Pennsylvania’s Republican Party will feature billionaire real-estate mogul and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as the guest at a New York City fundraiser. Speaking on Fox News, Trump implied disregard for the demonstrator’s message.
But on Sunday, the 2016 White House hopeful took to Twitter in customary bombastic style to confirm that the press event was off, even if the meeting – albeit with an unspecified number of pastors – was on.
Trump’s spokeswoman Hope Hicks did not respond when asked whether the letter directly influenced Trump’s decision to cancel Monday’s press conference. Later that afternoon, a New Jersey police officer spotted the van and arrested five suspicious Israelis, at least two of whom were reportedly determined by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be Israeli intelligence operatives.
“I have it upon a certain amount of knowledge – I’m very friendly with a lot of people on both sides – that Obama’s plan is 200,000 to 250,000”, Trump said.
But many of those invited to the meet-and-greet objected over the weekend to that description, saying they had instead accepted the invitation because they wanted to meet with Trump to challenge him about what he’s said as a candidate.
It could also be possible that the clergy who were praying for Mr. Trump and admonishing his humility and boldness are full of sh*t and just want access to a celebrity in order to raise their profile.

It might be more a question of lines of communication getting tangled, which is not unusual in a campaign gearing up from operating in a few states to going national.
