Trump children unable to vote for dad in NY primary

Donald Trump likely won’t need their votes – the latest poll shows him with a massive lead among New York GOP voters.

Eric Trump, 32, and Ivanka Trump, 34, the Republican front-runner’s second and third children, have campaigned extensively with their father, but both missed the deadline for registering as Republicans to vote in the NY primary on April 19. They feel very guilty, but it’s fine.

During an interview with Fox News on Monday morning, Trump informed the hosts that his children, Eric and Ivanka, failed to register before the deadline.

“They had a longtime register and they were, you know, unaware of the rules, and they didn’t register in time”.

“They were unaware of the rules”, Trump said Monday on Fox News.

A staggering 63 percent said they would not vote for Trump while 55 percent said they would not vote for Ted Cruz. As the Daily News first reported, the New York Post’s editor-in-chief, Col Allan, once wore a hat with Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again”, in the newsroom. “I think they have to register a year in advance so Eric and Ivanka I guess won’t be voting”.

During an appearance Sunday in Rochester, N.Y., USA TODAY says, Trump called the delegate system “crooked”.

The registration deadline in NY for voters changing party affiliations was October 9, 2015. Primary rules and regulations have overwhelmed the Donald Trump campaign to the point of hiring an actual campaign professional, to navigate.
