Trump clinches Republican presidential nomination to cap-off wild campaign journey
Ryan, who is the chairman of the Republican National Convention being held this week, has been a vocal critic of some of Trump’s controversial remarks and positions on issues ranging from immigration to alleged racism.

They’ll bash those policies while highlighting Presumptive Nominee Donald Trump’s success as a businessman.
Speaking at the GOP convention delegation’s breakfast, Ryan listed changes that congressional Republicans are seeking to welfare programs, national security, health care, federal regulations and the tax code.
“What do you say that we unify this party at this crucial moment when unity is everything?” he asked the audience of delegates. “But you’ll find me right there on the rostrum with Vice President Mike Pence and President Donald Trump”.
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was the featured guest at the OH delegation’s breakfast event this morning at the DoubleTree Hotel. “And you know that if Hillary is president, we will continue to slide, dis-tracted by the scandals that follow the Clintons like flies”.
“Whatever we lack going into this campaign”, Ryan said in his speech Tuesday night, “we should not lack for motivation”.
Ryan said Republicans should not be the party causing a divide, instead, they should strive to encourage people to come together.
Ryan and Cornyn both criticized Hillary Clinton, the Affordable Care Act, and the federal bureaucracy.
Ryan also emphasized the GOP’s plan to address poverty, a problem that afflicts many Pennsylvania communities, including Johnstown – where one-third of the population lives below the poverty line. But the same candidates do not want to alienate a Trump constituency that makes up about half of the Republican Party’s base and in some districts and states, more.
He also appeared hopeful that Trump’s decision to add Indiana Gov. Mike Pence to the ticket as his vice presidential running mate would “bridge the gap” among conservatives in the party.
“I prefer less personality contests and more ideas contests”, he said.

According to Ryan, the best way to win the election is to present voters with better policy options they can get behind.
