This isn’t the first time Trump has been accused of inciting violence.
“But all of the concessions that Barack Obama has granted the Castro regime were done through executive order, which means the next president can reverse them – and that is what I will do, unless the Castro regime meets our demands”.
Following a short statement that didn’t address the birther issue, Trump stepped aside for a succession of Medal of Honor recipients to approach the microphone and endorse him.
With Hillary Clinton’s lead in the polls over Donald Trump all but gone, her campaign is pushing prominent Democrats, including former primary rival Bernie Sanders, into the field in an effort to lock up the youth vote for the Democratic nominee. I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons.
Mrs Clinton said Mr Trump had founded his campaign on “this outrageous lie”.
Two days after this interview, he tweets that Hillary Clinton started the birther movement.
The Secret Service declined to comment on the Republican nominee’s remark.
After Trump concluded his speech, his campaign sent out a news release with his remarks, highlighting his comments about Cuba and Venezuela – but misspelling the latter “Venezuala”.
On Thursday, Trump had refused to state his current view on Obama’s birthplace and thus his legitimacy as president.
Reporting from Virginia, euronews correspondent Stefan Grobe said: “At this point in the campaign, there is hardly a more effective surrogate for Hillary Clinton than someone whose name is Obama”. We know she gets a lot of bad press.
In fact, Trump repeatedly continued to question Obama’s birth in the years after the president released his birth certificate.
Overall, Americans appear to be relatively uninspired by their choices for president with less than eight weeks to go before the election.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s health concerns have been a target of Trump.

“I think Barack has answered those questions with the example he’s set: by going high when they go low”. While Mr. Blumenthal offered no concrete proof of Obama’s Kenyan birth, I felt that, as journalists, we had a responsibility to determine whether or not those rumors were true. Clinton’s doctors said her physical exam was normal, apart from the pneumonia, and that she was in excellent mental condition. “Voters are really exhausted, and you hear voters saying, ‘I don’t know which way to go”. Very simple, okay. He was perhaps born in this country but said that he was born in Kenya.
Several black Republicans have also expressed disgust at Trump’s connections with the birther movement. On Friday he finally conceded that Mr Obama was USA born.

Rufus Bartell, a Detroit businessman and founder of a retail and consulting group, said there’s been too much damage for Trump to make up with many black voters, who have been a powerful voting bloc during Obama’s time in Washington. “Having successfully obtained President Obama’s birth certificate when others could not, Mr. Trump believes that President Obama was born in the United States”.
