Trump Considering Asking Sessions to Prosecute Robert Mueller

In a July 2017 interview with the New York Times, Trump lashed out at his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, for recusing himself from overseeing the Russian Federation investigation, which led to the appointment of a special counsel.
Graham, who had been a critic of Trump’s during the 2016 presidential campaign, but has since come around to often stand on the president’s side, expressed confidence in Mueller’s ability to ‘get to the bottom of all things Russian Federation’.
If Trump releases the memo now, it will be clear for all who care to see that he is not looking out for national security, but for himself – at the cost of discrediting the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The details are complicated, and you can dig into them in The Times’s coverage.
“The only person who can testify authoritatively to Donald Trump’s motives is Donald Trump”, Ohlin said.
The news that the special counsel and Trump’s attorneys are negotiating the terms of Mueller’s questioning of Trump, which appears poised to occur within three weeks if terms are agreed upon, suggests that some potentially decisive moves by Mueller are likely to happen in February and potentially could begin this month.
Trump lawyers reportedly look to 1997 case… Trump wanted to know where the special counsel’s Russian Federation investigation was heading. But even though they were quick to help write legislation for the protection of the special counsel, the lawmakers are not showing the same sense of urgency towards having these legislations passed.
Pirro has repeatedly called for a criminal investigation of Mueller on Fox. He has also gone to great lengths to discredit potential witnesses from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department, as well as generally muddying the investigative waters. “It needs to be cleansed of individuals who should not just be fired but need to be taken out in handcuffs”.
January 29, 2018 (EIRNS)-Speaking this morning on “Fox and Friends“, Clinton-era special prosecutor Kenneth Starr was clear: The President has the constitutional authority to fire “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller.
“It’s pretty clear to me that everybody in the White House knows it would be the end of President Trump’s presidency if he fired Mr. Mueller”, he said. Who knows, but one thing is certain: The shorter his presidency, the less damage he and his sycophants can cause.

The independent counsel investigating Espy had sought documents used in a report compiled by the White House counsel. A president, through a surrogate in the Justice Department, need only the cite the authority in the law to fire a special counsel, rather than have to justify it. The report provides another example of President Trump’s attempts to interfere with ongoing investigations – a pattern of behavior that has put him under scrutiny for potential obstruction of justice.
