Christie also defended Melania Trump from accusations of plagiarizing a big part of her speech to the Republican National Convention the night before, according to NBC’s “Today” show. However, in this case, there was no indication Trump ever promised to make such a donation in the aftermath of Sandy. “Now, where I come from, a promise is a promise”.
