Trump, Cruz feud shifts to luxury seaside resort
Bernie Sanders. The rest of the 210 Democratic convention delegates are picked by the party and most must support the victor of the state’s presidential primary vote.

There are 17 other delegates who are bound on the first ballot to vote for the candidate who wins the state’s popular vote. But most delegates chosen there will be unbound, meaning Kasich might be able to win them over away from the ballot box. There will be no reason for either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz’s hand-chosen rules committee members to vote in favor of any change, so if the rest of the rules committee does, it means they think that the party’s control of everything is in serious jeopardy with either man as their nominee.
Trump remains the front-runner in the Republican primary, but his path to winning the 1,237 delegates he needs tow in a majority and secure the nomination outright has narrowed.
Trump was introduced at the Buffalo rally by Rex Ryan, the head coach of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, whom he called a “great, great football coach”. Ted Cruz of Texas and Gov. John Kasich of OH, “or anyone else”, to make the electability argument. But Trump can count on the support of only 69 of the state’s 99 delegates because the state Republican Party chairman is allowed to appoint 30.
“The people we’re hoping to elect as delegates, we want to make sure that they’re Ted Cruz supporters, that they’re going to go to the convention and be with Ted Cruz all the way through”, Brandon Lerch, the Cruz Campaign Minnesota field director told KARE.
“If we nominate Donald, Hillary wins, and Hillary wins by double digits”, Mr. Cruz told the crowd at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum. There are 53 congressional districts in California, each with three delegates up for grabs.
Trump’s team also signaled to RNC members a fresh willingness to dip into the NY real estate mogul’s personal fortune to fund his presidential bid, in addition to helping the national committee raise money, a promise that comes just as Trump launches his first big television advertising campaign in a month.
“The other candidates are a little too far right”, Kennedy said. A donor, he said, helped finance part of his efforts.

Trump is increasingly optimistic about his chances in five states holding primary contests Tuesday: Rhode Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
His New York numbers are strong enough that his supporters are likely to argue he would shatter an otherwise ossified political map between red and blue states in the general election. The Ohio governor’s campaign has focused on convincing the delegate candidates already on the ballot to throw their support behind Kasich, she said. Trump has a double-digit lead in three of the last four polls.
