Trump Declines to Endorse Paul Ryan, McCain
Both had been among Trump’s harshest critics in the wake of his comments about the Khan family, particular McCain, a former prisoner of war who said Trump did not have “unfettered license to defame those who are the best among us”.

While some lawmakers have not actively endorsed Trump, Hanna was the first to say he would vote for Clinton in the November 8 election. “It’s something we need to watch very carefully”. And I’m just not quite there. “I’m not quite there yet”.
I’m sure Ryan would rather that Trump endorse his Nehlen because it would free him from his obligation to support Trump.
“Your governor came out, he was expected to win and we sent him packing like a little boy”, Trump said during an interview with radio host Michael Koolidge, after Walker backed his rival, Ted Cruz.
The parents of fallen Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who was killed in Iraq in 2004, spoke at last week’s Democratic National Convention.
“Neither Speaker Ryan nor anyone on his team has ever asked for Donald Trump’s endorsement”, said Zack Roday.
The French president said he finds Donald Trump’s “excesses” sickening, claimed that democracy is at stake in the 2016 USA election and stated a victory for the Republican could make politics more conservative around the world.
Trump’s son, Eric Trump, told CBS News on Tuesday that his father’s comments toward the Khans have been “blown hugely out of proportion”.
On December 7, just hours after a poll showed Ted Cruz leap-frogging Trump in Iowa, the businessman put out a surprise statement “calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on”. At the same time, McCain has steadfastly repeated he will support his party’s nominee.
Trump’s intervention in the Ryan primary is a wild card. In that interview, Trump also declined to support McCain’s re-election.
“I’ve never been there with John McCain because I’ve always felt that he should have done a much better job for the vets”, Trump told the newspaper Tuesday.
Trump also tweeted thanks at Nehlen “for your kind words” on Monday.
These developments are doing nothing to heal the division in the Republican Party.
Ryan and Trump have disagreed on some issues, and the Wisconsin Republican was somewhat slow in endorsing Trump even after he wrapped up the Republican presidential nomination.
What is happening is that Trump is turning his campaign of insults and derision of one group of voters after another against a growing number of GOP congressional leaders and respected Republican senators.
Buffett, chairman and chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Inc, scorned Trump’s 1995 move to list Trump hotels and casino resorts on the New York Stock Exchange, saying the business lost money for the next decade and that a monkey would have outperformed Trump’s company. All three have said they would support Trump as the GOP presidential nominee.

Pudner said he was impressed by the fact that Ryan appeared at the state party convention, and seemed very accessible.
