Trump defeated Clinton by 10704 votes in Michigan: unofficial tally

Donald Trump’s margin of victory over Hillary Clinton was narrow in all three states, which were expected to vote Democratic, and the results have become the focus of speculation – based on little proof – that the vote may have been tampered with.

Ralph Nader called again November 10 for elimination of the Electoral College.

President-elect Donald Trump told the New York Times during a wide-ranging interview on Tuesday that his stance on taking climate change action will depend on what it costs U.S. corporations. The constitutionality of state laws concerning electors has never been decided. Trump is universally understood to be “president-elect”, but that title is not technically accurate until January 6, the day Congress meets in joint session to count votes of the Electoral College. And you can forget about big changes to the system, as that would require a constitutional amendment. In a shocking report this week, however, Politico claimed that at least a handful of those charged with making everything official have begun to push back, with the rumor being that some electors might actually vote against Trump.

It was interesting to see David Harsanyi lauding the foresight of the Founding Fathers in setting up the Electoral College. If the electoral votes of these states united are stripped away, what is there to unite?

Our Founders protected the interests of sparsely-populated states against domination by the others. A candidate needs to secure 270 electoral votes to win.

Our Founders considered election by popular vote, by Congress and by other ways-and rejected them all. The National Archives reports that 99 percent of electors have voted as pledged throughout the nation’s history.

Trump, who once called Electoral College a “disaster”, said a popular vote-only system would force candidates to campaign only in bigger states like California, Texas, Florida, and NY. After examining the exit polls from this month’s election, Bonier revealed an ironic detail about those who helped put the former host of “The Apprentice” into the White House.
