Trump Defends Calling Obama ‘founder’ Of IS

“[Obama] gets the most valuable player award. I gave him the most valuable player award”. ISIS was formed in the vacuum created by the United States’ departure, he added.

During the Wednesday rally in South Florida, Trump said leaders of the Islamic State – also known as ISIS – “honor” the president, whom he identified by his full name: “Barack Hussein Obama”. “He was the founder. He’s the founder. He founded ISIS”, he said referring to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, another name for Daesh.

In an interview on Thursday morning, Trump had reiterated his false claim that Obama was the founder of ISIS and appeared incredulous that anybody would question otherwise.

Trump also backed his notorious and unorthodox campaign style in Thursday’s CNBC interview, and hinted that come Election Day, he may actually be vanquished.

In Fort Lauderdale Florida, Donald Trump took to the stage during a rally and attacked the founders of ISIS.

Trump has been under near-constant scrutiny for his discussion of sensitive world events, with his opponents using favorable comments he’s made toward Vladimir Putin and other dictators as evidence of misplaced priorities. Words have no meaning if somehow Trump’s followers go along with his word games.

He later called Clinton the “co-founder”.

“Do you not like that?” “Everyone’s liking it. I think they’re liking it”. Corker said, “To say an elected official in our country founded a terrorist organization like ISIS is taking the facts that took place in 2011 and carrying that far too far”. That’s what I would say.

“I am the daughter of a man who was shot by someone who got his inspiration from a movie, someone who believed if he killed the president, the actress from the movie would notice him”.

“You know how they get out?” “That’s how they get out. All I do is tell the truth, I’m a truth teller”. There’s nothing that we’re going to be able to do with a civil war. “They are in a major civil war”.

Those comments echoed similar remarks in March 2007 when he said forces should be immediately withdrawn from Iraq.

Trump nearly made it around to a lesser claim that the president’s policies fostered the creation of ISIS but still came back to claiming flatly that Obama literally founded the Islamic State, saying, “If he [the president] would have done things properly, you wouldn’t have had ISIS”.

His Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton denounced Trump’s comment as a “casual incitement to violence”.

“Donald Trump has once again shown that he lacks that temperament, and that he is simply unfit to hold our nation’s highest office”, DNC spokesman Mark Paustenbach said.
