Trump Delights in Media Misfortune as Press Corps Shows Up Late
“Just so you know, New Hampshire has a special place in my heart because this is where I won my first primary”, Trump said. They called us and said, ‘Could you wait?’ I said absolutely not.

The reporters apparently made it to the event just minutes before Trump wrapped up.
Still, news organizations expect to at least make it to the Trump events on time by paying to fly on a press charter arranged by the campaign.
On Thursday night, Trump began speaking in Laconia, New Hampshire, while the roughly 20 members of his traveling press corps were still half an hour away at the local airport.
Politico reported that the press plane following Trump from NY was delayed and that the reporters assigned to his campaign only made it to the last three minutes of the rally.
The campaign speech also touched on his opponent Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy plans, saying he’s going to reverse the current policy of globalism she supports and reassuring the crowd he will build that wall he’s been promising.
ABC’s Candace Smith tweeted, “I’d like to take this moment to point out that @realDonaldTrump is the only candidate that doesn’t travel with his press corps. But she never publicly bragged about it”.
Last Thursday, Trump tore up his media blacklist, agreeing to grant campaign event credentials to news outlets such as The Washington Post, Politico and BuzzFeed that he previously barred from spaces reserved for journalists. Ivanka Trump argued with a reporter from Cosmopolitan magazine and cut short an interview Wednesday.
The campaign later said he was referring to capital punishment, not the Holocaust.

“I am really proud to say that I think I had a lot to do with that poll number”, he added.
