Trump Delivers Another Blow to GOP Establishment as Rubio Fades

Rubio, whose campaign is fighting for survival after a series of disappointing performances in nominating contests for the November 8 election, has drawn fire for a line of attack in recent weeks in which he got personal with Trump. And Mr. Kasich took more than a quarter of suburban voters, who made up more than 70 percent of Michigan’s Republican primary voters.

And in the general election, Clinton would start with an advantage over Trump in both states, leading in Florida and OH by 7 percentage points. Rubio told a rally in Ponte Vedra Beach Tuesday night.

Even a win in Florida for Mr Rubio may be too little too late.

Half of all voters, including a third of Republicans, said Trump’s remarks are often insulting, while 21 percent of all voters, including about a third of Republicans, said that while Trump’s language might be a problem, he is raising important issues. On Tuesday, Trump won three states out of four and grabbed more delegates than Cruz. Trump is the first choice of 30 percent of Republican primary voters – followed by Cruz at 27 percent, John Kasich at 22 percent and Marco Rubio at 20 percent.

Is an upset possible? Marco Rubio, more and more Republican officials are coming to terms with the fact that their second least favorite candidate may be their best shot at defeating Trump. FiveThirtyEight, meanwhile, says Trump has a 92 percent chance of winning MI. So we’re not sure which Trump will show up tonight – the one who calls his opponents stupid, fat, losers, or the one who promised on Tuesday night: “I can be more presidential than anybody other than the great Abe Lincoln.

But in hypothetical one-on-one match-ups with Cruz and Rubio, Trump loses.

Sanders said MI signalled “that we are a national campaign” after wins in different regions of the country.

Trump swamps Florida Sen.

Although the senator from Florida lost on Tuesday, he is looking forward to a winner-take-all contest in his home state. The Ohio poll includes 1,002 adults, including 294 likely Democratic primary voters and 359 likely Republican voters.

Trump said the record-breaking turnout his march to the Republican presidential nomination had produced is “absolutely unique and special”. Just 43% said they support party leaders in that effort.

In a video released Thursday, Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer calls Kasich a friend and says he’s “a true supporter” of what Kasich stands for.

On the other hand, the 2016 Presidential Nomination: Battleground Tracker from CBS News showed that Hillary Clinton still has a comfortable lead over her counterpart Bernie Sanders. The Texas senator is sticking close to Trump in the delegate count and with six states in his win column, he’s arguing he’s the only candidate standing between the brash billionaire and the GOP nomination.
